Founder & Director

Tina Bhandari

I am here after 38 years in the business of education, across three continents. My CV is only a list of events in my life. My true story is my journey from a small town in Moshi, Tanzania to another small city in Roanoke, Virginia that shaped my life in a variety of ways. I never wanted to be a teacher or educator. I wanted to work with wild, exotic animals I grew up around in East Africa. Yet a calling card was already printed for me in the realm of humanity. For those that are not afforded my cognitive, physical, social/emotional and mental abilities, I felt compelled to share my knowledge and creativity with anyone who wanted to learn. However, I found the ones I taught, were teaching me.

So, I have learned from the best: people with, what we term in the United States, special needs. They have taught me patience, tolerance, humility, value of humankind, respect for all, unconditional love and kindness, to listen, to hear, to communicate among different worlds, and to see a person for who they are.

And now I speak with them and for them. They teach me every day, that there are no bounds to access knowledge, to develop skill sets, and especially, to see humanity.

Assistant Executive Director

Aaron Hall

My name is Aaron Hall, and I am a Health and PE Teacher with Roanoke City Public Schools. I attended Emory and Henry College, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Performance. Before my current job, I worked in the Fire Service for 7 years with Augusta County Fire Rescue, where I rose to the rank of station Lieutenant. Before that, I worked in retail, where I started as an associate and eventually became a store manager.

I currently live in Salem, Virginia, with my wife Morgan, who is a Special Education teacher with Roanoke City Schools. We have three boys, Brayden (16), Knox (6), and Graham (3), who keep me busy with sports and other activities.

I have a personal connection to No Bounds, as my older brother Matt is one of the original No Bounders. Matt has autism, and I saw firsthand how he struggled and was treated differently because of his condition. However, I also saw how the community rallied around him and helped build him up as he navigated public school.

Matt was deeply involved in Special Olympics and still is. I used to support him as he supported me throughout my high school and college athletic career. I started volunteering as a Unified Partner, helping my brother's team, and this is how I got involved with No Bounds.

Dr. B approached me when I was helping Matt and his teammates with basketball, and she asked me to do a video on how to stay active during COVID. I am passionate about No Bounds because it is a unique program that gives a voice to the Special Needs population. I am committed to giving them the courage and skills to speak up and become leaders in changing the world.
