THE PHILOSOPHY OF NO BOUNDS

Adults with an intellectual disability (AWID) do not get to choose what they are born with. However, we can be considerate and work with them in their intellectual space instead of trying to fit them into ours. There is plenty of time for that. Once an AWID has been exposed to information, they can acquire a repertoire of experiences, and then they can lean on those experiences, and give them a better chance to have a more substantial education and a chance for more equitable opportunities. Exposure, experiences, and education, in any order, is what we at No Bounds follow.

In the 3E (exposure, experiences, and education) arena we build human capital in:

1) Communications (verbal, non-verbal, alternate, you name it);

2) Care (all instructors, volunteers, student work studies) are people who want to be here because they care;

3) Connections (connecting knowledge, skills, people and businesses).

The environment must be rich in motives which lend interest to activity and invite the child to conduct his own experiences.
